The Bohemians are an actor-musician theatre company with a political mindset who create challenging pieces of new-writing. In 2018, we launched while studying at Rose Bruford College with a show called ‘Wondertown’ - an actor-musician musical following a young woman finding her political voice, based on Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’. In 2019, we collaborated with Sterts Theatre in Cornwall on 'Pardoned' a show about WWII code-breaker Alan Turing and the persecution he endured. Most recently we produced LEXI at the Camden Fringe in 2021. A one-person gig theatre piece about a man who falls in love with smart speaker device.
During lockdowns, we also produced a successful podcast called ‘Busk It!’ in which we interview an array of industry guests such guests as Emma Rice, Jordan Li-Smith, Jeremy Harrison about their involvement with actor-musicianship.
